Can hardy withdraw his appeal?

And just take the 6 game suspension?

Does anybody have a clue on how that works?

Yes he can but accepting the guilty verdict would spell doom in a civil case you know the woman will file. Another poster pointed out to me this morning it would also count as his "first strike" and a second DV charge would be an auto ban from the NFL under the new policy. Also, there's the money.....giving up 6 game checks equal to roughly $3.6 - 4.2 million. I think he'd be better off reaching a settlement with the alleged victim where she agrees to no longer assist or testify for the prosecution "ala" Michael Jackson.

Why would he do that? He's getting paid right now, if he gets suspended, he will not get paid.

Would you miss out on the chance to 770k a week?

I'm sure money wise he's fine. How likely is he to win against a female, a white female in a domestic abuse case? He lose, he's going to get suspended. By then the season is gone

I wouldn't, I actually do believe theres more to the story than the fact that he threw her onto a sofa made of hand grenades using assault rifle arms inside of a tank.  If he's innocent, screw that, he's an innocent man.  Besides, if he does that just to get on the field quicker and he is not guilty, then he's hurting his long term nfl prospects because this will really hurt his bargaining chip in the offseason and that's not fair to him just because we want to see him on the field soon.

No, he can't do anything team oriented.

Yes he can. According to the presser they said Hardy under his exempt agreement can do whatever he wants to with the team except attend practice and games. He can hang out, use the gym, meet with the Panthers legal team, work with the strength and conditioning coach. He just needs to stay away from organized activities under his exempt agreement.

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
