Kornheiser's opinion of Charlotte NC

Was reading the Observer aticle about Pepper's fine and read the comments. Saw this at the end. Don't know how true it is, I don't watch PTI. It was posted by "Scott".

GET THIS! I was just watching PTI on ESPN. During a commercial break, they came back to the studio for a few seconds before going back to the advertisers. When they did, we got to hear a bit of a conversation between Kornheiser and Wilbon, like you always can, you know? These two arw always yapping.

Here's what Tony's yammering about - "everything has biscuits! You can't get anything that isn't served with biscuits. That's all they have down there."

Wilbon shoots back that "I'm pretty sure that Charlotte is big enough that you can get whatever you want down there."

Kornheiser response was "No, no, no it's not."

WHAT HORSE SQUEEZE! It was awful - you should have seen Kornheiser!! He was showing visible disgust that he even had to come down here. What a bunch of crap.

I'm going to the game Monday night. I'd like to stop by Bojangles on the way and get a damn BUSHEL of biscuits and pelting his ass! I swear - I hope that we win out the regular and post seasons and that Tony K has to come back 2 or 3 times next year!!

GO PANTHERS!!

Someone make a sign

"Tony, we saved you some biscuits" or something

I'm from the north (more north than Tony K) and I personally looove biscuits...but let's face it, Charlotte isn't as "southern", "redneck", "hillbilly" and most people think. Have you ever been to Pittsburgh? "Hicks" everywhere.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
