The official Panthers-Giants predictions thread....

Jake throws a touchdown pass, and it is because the receiver made a great play. Jake throws a interception, and we should have signed "he would will not be named".

Brown gets a sack.

CJ wilson gets an interception.

Mike Goodson will fumble, and catch a screen pass.

Gary Barnaidge will catch a TD.

Tony Fiammetta will make someone cry.

Marlon Favorite will play well, and have a tackle for loss.

We will score on our first drive (they will too).

Brown has two sacks on David Carr.

Hilee Taylor has a sack on David Carr.

Mike Goodson has a long touchdown run.

Jarrett looks like Moose's heir apparent.

Carter looks like Jarrett's heir apparent.

Beavers returns one to the end zone.

Munnerlyn has an interception.

Chris Harris forces a fumble.

Feel free to add more ...

we play a very vanilla defense due to preseason (and playing the Giants again in reg season) and Giants WRs will look better than their TC appeared..

Davidson's playcalling has Delhomme throwing short routes to gain confidence and gain momentum. (perhaps this is wishful thinking... I wouldn't be surprised to see a hail mary for his 1st throw)..

Our RB's and OLine struggle first couple run plays but either RB break a decent long run at least once.

Goodson is put in on offense a few plays, but nothing spectacular, if he even gets the ball.

Moore takes on Colbert's role in preseason, perhaps Carter too.

Our kick return, well, I have no idea what to expect with the new rule change. We'll see what we look like at game time.

Moose shows why he's hard to replace, even if we were to bring in another #2 type prospect in.

Jarrett is flashy in the sense that he makes a few nice catches.

Less than average performance on both sides of the ball. Timing off. Not much scoring. Where is the optimism?

agree, and don't think I am going to expect much more.. new DC, going to start slow, plus it's preseason. offense, well, it's the 1st preseason game. Anything greater than average, and I'll be happy.

We can predict and be happy with our potential, but I don't expect us to be running full speed right out of the gate by any means.

Goodson will get ALOT of work Monday night as the #3 back.

i think the preseason will be worth watching this year..just because of how many backup spots are up for grabs

this we can agree on... I actually haven't been more excited for preseason than I am at this point.

Goodson will get ALOT of work Monday night as the #3 back.

I wasn't even thinking about that, you're right.. I was focused in on him playing a WR spot.

    • If there's a pattern I'm definitely picking up from Dan and company is a philosophy of making trades where we try not to sacrifice the number of draft picks we have by day's end. In other words, we're not giving up three picks for one, or giving up a future pick to make a pick today. And even if we give up something at the start, we make trades later to make up for that initial loss. Here's how it stacked up for 2026: How we started: 19, 51, 83, 119, 158, 159, 200 How we ended: 19, 49, 83, 129, 144, 151, 227 (no future picks sacrificed) Ultimately, we moved up two spots in the second to ensure we got someone we coveted, gave up a few spots for our fourth round pick, but then had better picks in the 5th (and got really good value out of them), and had a worse 7th rounder which isn't that big of a loss anyways.  At this point, we can question who they draft, but they're pretty good maneuvering across the draft board.
    • I just saw the funniest thing...or very disappointing, depending how you handle misery. A guy on YouTube did a 2027 'way too early' mock draft.  If I told you the simulator has the Panthers selecting in the top 10 , what would you say?  If I told you it was pick #8 and only two QBs were taken in the top 7, what would you say?  If I told you this dude had us taking a defensive player, what would you say?
    • It is due diligence at that point. Irresponsible not to take him.  Crossing my fingers on this one, he has everything you look for except experience.
