cj spiller on the trade block

To be fair the Bills do not utilize him properly and run him between the tackles. Spiller is meant to work in space and has home-run ability every time he touches the ball in space. I think people forget how electric he is when he gets the ball and he would give us a dynamic return man on kick offs as well.

That said, I have 0 faith that Shula could use him properly and right now we really can't afford to be investing more in the running back position although he would instantly be the most explosive play maker on this offense outside of #1.

OP, if you're gonna start a thread at least put some context or evidence in your post...

  1. C.J. Spiller signed a 5 year / $25.67 million contract in 2010 with the Buffalo Bills, including a $2,000,000 signing bonus, $11,854,169 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $5,134,417.

He's due to make 5.9m this year and is a free agent with 4.4m projected as UDFA. I don't think we can manage that with Cam's negotiations ongoing and if we do, we're gonna likely face competition from Philly, Baltimore and the Vikings.

And if we did pick him up we'd likely be paying 3 running backs over $20m next year. So no.
