I think what's hard for people to understand is; historically Newton is a pocket passer who waits for his receivers to get open, and if/when they're not, or the pass rush is eminent; he runs. The difference is; Newton runs so well when he does, he piles up a lot of yards. So people just assume he runs a lot, or at first sight. He's just an uncanny runner. And a very good, developing passer.

Just the underlying issue does.

 

I'm as conservative as they come, but I'm not going to deny a clear racial bias.  Andrew Luck is somehow more "cerebral" then Cam, Kaepernick, and Wilson.

luck is better moving in the pocket than cam and some of his throws are truly remarkable, just like Cam's. Cam has improved in that aspect this year.

 

the main difference imo are the picks. luck will throw some god awful throws, probably because he is expected to do so much and make things happen (like Cam), but then he'll pull these unbelievable comebacks. Cam has been more protective of the ball in the past two years.

 

luck and cam are exceptional. i would be happy with either but damn Cam is just so electric and fun to watch i'm so happy we got the guy. He reinvigorated my fandom 3 years ago in arizona when it was at an all-time low.

 

he is the franchise savior.
