Jerry Richardson is an ass kisser to the NFL plain and simple. As hard as he fought to get a team in the Carolina's you would think he would take more pride in the team and do what it takes to field a competitive team. He's just laughing all the way to the bank at all of us. He suckered us into pouring our hard earned money into this crap that is on display on the field.

Greg let this team down whether he is guilty or innocent and that's the most important thing to remember about this whole situation.

If greg Hardy is found innocent he absolutely did not let the team down. Jerry Richardson has let this team down again. He did during the lockout. He did during john foxs last year when he refused to spend. He did during the ref lockout. He does everytime he threatens the city that the team could be moved if they don't give him money for the stadium. Disgraceful. Keep your fake tears and go the hell away.

Idc what anybody say. This is all because he doesn't want the franchise to move out of charlotte. He's going to ass kiss until he dies so hopefully the NFL do what they can to keep the team in NC if it ever comes to that. There's absolutely no other logical reason for putting the NFL before his team. No excuse, no reason. I know its hard to not show up and support your team, but obviously the city isn't sending a clear message to him. Panthers media pathetic too. This should be the number 1 topic on the Huddle. PINNED

I don't know what to believe. Something is very wrong in Carolina. We look so lethargic out there as if we don't give a damn.

there is an interesting point within this statement.  let me clarify...

teams coming off a Tie the week before lose most of their games the following week.  A loss to the Packers and being lethargic isn't unexpected, the opposite actually.

however, what we are seeing today is a result of coaching being exposed at it's core...  The problems with this team aren't just the result of coming off a tie but the weaknesses this team has to overcome each and every week.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
