What's the difference between Bersin, Coctchrey, and Avant?

WOW!!

I don't understand the obsession with Bersin. He's made a few catches but he's still not as good as Cotchery or Avant. He pooped himself on punt returns as well. Everybody thinks because he's "smart" he doesn't need NFL experience.

Same thing with Norwell, Foucalt, and Nate Chandler last year. The most popular man is always the backup. Robert Lester became Steve Attwater on the practice squad...it goes on and on.

They are all the sane to me. None of them fast enough to scare a snail. All just possession wr who can't consistently beat a team top 2 Cb's.

They aren't game breakers but they are getting open. We put up some pretty good passing yards before our oline imploded via injury. The only speed guy available that could help us in my opinion is Tiquan Underwood. And he drops a lot of balls. Stephen Hill can't run an entire route tree. Our line can't block long enough to get him down field.

Why are we not letting Stephen Hill play some????? At least he can take the top of the defense,he doesn't have to have hands that are made of glue. He will probably get some playing time if (when) we have no shot at making the playoiffs and it would be something to then learn, he could have helped us earlier.

Probably because he can't catch.  Just a guess.

Exactly, we have one good WR the rest of them are #3's meanwhile most teams with QB's not even as good as Cam have 2 great wide outs. Bengals have Sanu and Green. Jeffery, Marshall for the Bears. Roddy White, Julio. Golden Tate, Calvin Johnson, etc. etc. and we have a great QB with KB who's just a rookie and Olsen whoopdee doo

When DWill is out we are fuged because he is our biggest home run threat on offense

While I like most of the ideas presented about the need for speed. Unfortunately we are missing one important factor. We do not have a competent offensive coordinator. Shula wants a slow methodical ball control offense and so does Rivera. Honestly the only offense Shula knows is slow and methodical. That's the offense he ran at Tampa and Alabama.

The problem with Shula's and Rivera's slow methodical ball control offense,is that the other team,no mattter how bad, will hang around and have a chance to beat you at the end of the game. The good teams will get a little cushion and this type offense has no chance,or means,to catch up. Game over.

I am sick of this dull ass hum drum offense and play calling of Shula's and sick of Rivera for letting it happen. If we are playing a superior team, that is certain to beat us,I would rather it be exciting game, instead of the crap we have seen this year. Of course Rivera always has an excuse when we lose, saying they will look at the game tape and see what happened to cause the loss. What a crock of murlarkey.

I am not buying that "can't catch theory about Stephen Hill". If that's is the case someones rearend needs to be booted for letting him remain on the team. He should be considered good enough  play and stay,or to inept to play,in which case he should  be released. There is no middle ground on a simple decision like that.

That's why I said put him in for a 9 route every once in a while to back the dam safeties up.

    • just read the thread. I would like to say that the team not being sold to Tepper is an absolute banger of an answer and probably the right one

Initial gut reaction when I first thought of this question is Kasay kicks it in bounds on the kickoff, but unfortunately I still think New England wins that game even with that My second instinct was pulling Bene out before he breaks his leg in the playoffs. My crackpot theory is if he never gets hurt we win the superbowl. I refuse to go back and watch the game but at some point Peyton throw an absolute duck that should have been pick 6'd. but because we were on our like fifth outside corner he was slow to the ball. this would have completely flipped that game because I'm pretty sure Denver scored that drive and the next one was the Cam sack fumble
