Cam is high

top dawg

You're making it sound like Charlotte is Gotham and Cam is Batman lol

That's not what I was going for, but that's cool?

All I'm saying is that Cam has come to represent a progressive movement....and not a negative one.  Sort of a symbol of Charlotte's progressiveness compared to the rest of the traditional south.  That's a great thing to represent.  Problem is....if he's playing like poo he polarizes the fan base more then any other Panthers player in history because of all the subliminal feels involved even though that has nothing to do with the criticism.

No we shouldn't have and if this defense is any indication then we should absolutely bring him back too, and IDGAF if he is guilty or not...he's clearly the straw that stirred the defensive drink.

Our pussy ass owner needs to stop crying and actually stick up for his team and make tough choices about winning games...there are people who have done way worse than Hardy and they are playing in the NFL...fug that we need Hardy.

Even if all that stuff concerning Hardy didn't happen, he was most likely going to walk at the end of the year.  I imagine he would have been paid a heck of a lot of money at the end of the year, if we were going to keep him.  Money we don't have.  Now that all of this has taken place, his price tag may have come down, I doubt it, but most likely he won't be playing here again.  All in all, we could have used that money to bring in Veldheer, an established LT and will probably go on to make the probowl this year.  We could have also kept Mitchell, a guy who also stirred the drink of our defense with his hard hitting.  Him and DeCoud would have made a great pair.  We completely missed it by giving Hardy that franchise tag.  The same will happen if we give Cam a long term deal in the offseason.  There's no guarantee we will get help for Cam, especially if Rivera is still coach.  Yet more importantly, I just don't think Cam will ever reach a consistent level of play due to the leaning on his athleticism.

I consider a good year as a winning record. So one good year, one playoff appearance, one 1st round exit.

Yeah that 1st year of his when for some reason they gave him rookie of the year, he wasn't good at all.

He's had at the very least two good years. I'll give you his second year, I don't think he was bad but perhaps not good either.

The offense is a downfield offense. We don't have the right kind of receivers or O-Line to run a WCO type attack right now.

People don't seem to understand we don't have WR'S like Cook and Stiles that get open quickly enough to have a quick passing game.

KB and Olsen are the only WR'S that win at the line of scrimmage.

Yeah, I'm aware of that.

Comically we don't have the O-line or wr's to run a down field offense right now either.

All WCO's aren't the same though.  I think what Tampa did while Jeff Garcia was there would be good for us.  Sort of a hybrid west coast game that allows the qb to rollout.

So true man. Anybody who has negative views of Cam is automatically labeled a Cam hater and a fake Panthers fan. I can't tell you how much heat I have taken for my views on Cam. Well dammit, I am a PANTHERS Fan, not a Cam fan. I get it, he brings positive vibes to the city and anybody against Cam should go to hell. But if all we are striving for is a positive image, then I guess I picked a bad team to root for since 2003.

How long did it take the Panthers to draft or have a franchise QB in 20 years then Panthers fan? ?

We did something like that last year, but I think this year we'd just wind up with a horizontal offense.

I'm still waiting on you to answer my question.

I don't think Cam is a bad QB man.  I think he can be very dynamic at times and boneheaded at times.  I just don't think he's worth 22 mil.

Maybe if we fire Shula in the off season and bring in someone new and he flourishes.  I would not give him 22 mil per year until that's shown though.

We had a franchise QB in Jake Delhomme. So many Panther fans took him for granted, but he was a damn good QB. I hated the Jimmy Clausen pick because I thought he was WAY overrated coming out of college. The Cam pick was the right one, but he is not progessing. You want your franchise QB to progress and he is not. He is a good QB, but he is just way to inconsistent as a passer to be a franchise QB. So, to answer your question, I think we have only had one franchise QB since I have been a fan.

And this tells me all I need to know.

1st Jake wasn't drafted.

2nd Jake needed a lot more help to be successful.

3rd Jake could never carry a offense like Cam has.

No sh*t we didn't draft Jake. Go back and read your own question. You said and I quote "How long did it take the Panthers to draft or have a franchise QB in 20 years then Panthers fan?" I considered Jake a franchise QB at the time. Try to remember your own questions before sounding ignorant.
