Steve Smith Takes on Tennessee

They won 21-7, which is what matters.

And yes, he's had three mediocre games in a row. He's still had twice as many 100 yard games as KB and Greg Olsen combined.

17 yards is also less than any receiving total for benajmin this year. ;)

See, I can cite convenient stats, too.

Smitty's and KB's stats are reasonably comparable.

My point was that when smitty has a bad game, he'll do something like this to make him feel better about himself.

"it's just a little bit too much" as a Raven... haha

in reference to the stats, yes if is as he was here at this point. He had more to prove so that's why he started off great this. nevertheless, why didn't he do that since Cam's rookie year? 17 yards is not acceptable for any starting WR regardless of team or age. In reference to the Ravens, SS having 17 yards and they pull off a win  proves overall they are a better team than us not Benji's stats. The reality is Benji has had some horrible drops and so has SS even as a panther, but  coaching is the difference in winning. I just hope we don't set Benji as "the" receiver rather than one of our receivers like we did with SS. Neither are a true #1 as of today! And yes SS would have better numbers if his attitude was consistent with his production. He borders on many bonehead plays because of his mouth. Talented but mouthy!

I find it funny that there are Panther fans sounding butt hurt about Smith's departure as if he left of his own accord.

The main thing the Panthers are missing on offense is any semblance of an identity or personality.

i don't miss the guy that much and i don't think we'd be much better on offense if he was here.  ow my butt it hurts so bad!

I would agree they are somewhat comparable. Steve obviously has the upper hand, but he'd be doing about the same here.

It was a bad statistical game, yes, but they won fairly comfortably. Sometimes you just don't need to target certain players to win. In 2011, for instance, we beat the Bucs 38-19 and he only had 2 catches for 32 yards. We beat the Bucs again 48-16 and he only had 1 catch for nine yards. It happens, it's not a big deal. Now, if he had that stat line in a loss, there would be a problem.

Were you mad in 2011 when he had very similar statlines in comfortable wins against the Bucs? What about KB last game, where he had 18 yards on 2 catches?

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
