Question: If Rivera, Shula and balance of staff are retained

To all the Huddler"s out there, answer this. If the HC,OC, and DC stay but they dump some lower level coaches to try and pacify the masses....how many of you would have had enough? I don't put anything past these clowns to try and save their skin (including dumping Cam in a trade). We are all avid fans, but does there come a point

when one has to step back and consider alliances?

No. This team represents where im from. I suppose if your not from the Carolinas then you could be justified.

If fan means all emotion or blind loyalty, then I'm not an avid idiot.

If they chose Rivera and Shula over Cam, yes, I would easily change teams. Probably have both an AFC and NFC favorite, which wouldn't be the Panthers. I don't owe them anything. NFC team would probably be the Skins, yet again.

The only way I could ever imagine myself no longer being a Panthers fan is if they relocated but even then... I'm pretty sure I would remain a fan but it would sting a lot and I would despise the owner.

After the Jimmy Clausen era, there isn't anything that I can't handle.

If they remained in the Carolinas I could root for them but if they leave and Carolina establishes a new franchise i'll likely head over there I root for the soil more than abything.

Would I switch teams?  No, nothing could ever make me do that, hell I do not even watch the playoffs if Carolina is not in it because I simply do not care (although I do not want Denver to win).  The only thing that could get me to stop rooting for the franchise is relocation but then I would probably just stop watching the NFL altogether like I did with hockey after they cancelled the season ten years ago.  If a new franchise came then I would probably try to root for them but like with NBA, it is not the same.  I am not young enough anymore to develop new passionate allegiances and without that passion who really cares?

Now if they kept the whole staff then there is a chance I would not go through the time, money, and energy of going out to the sports bar every Sunday so that I can watch every game, but I would definitely not root for anybody else.

If the coaches and front office stay it is simple what will happen.

Any top talent the Panthers have will be going elsewhere when their contract is up.

Any top talent in the rest of the NFL will use the Panthers for leverage in contract negotiations and go to another team.

Panthers will ride or die with the draft, used up veterans no one wants, and 1 year flyers on young talent who sees the Panthers organization as a stepping stone.

Take it to the bank. No one of any significance will work for the Panthers as long as Gettleman is the GM.

The benefit for the fans? Well we will have many other teams to watch with former Panthers helping their teams to the playoffs.

I have been a fan and big supporter of the Panthers since day one,so I am not going anywhere regardless of what happens.Like most fans,I complain when the Panthers don't excel the way I want them to but that doesn't mean I won't remain a loyal fan.

Last years success may have spoiled us and gotten our expections to high for this season. This has not been a good season because of salary cap issues that prevented us from signing some of our key free agents from last season, or adding new ones this season.Plus, injuries mounted up, the Hardy issue,Cam's surgery, questionable coaches decisions, etc, spoiled our chances to be the team we hoped to have on the playing field. I still have faith that with a good draft,a healthy Cam and more cap money to spend next season ,we'll be in the hunt for the NFC South title once again.

    • And once again I showed you it’s been pretty even. We spent 2nd and 3rd rounders this past draft on edge rushers. No one’s going to sit here and do the math on a draft value chart etc. the only reason I even entertained this was because you said we’ve spent nothing on defense when that simply isn’t true. It also didn’t help we traded our ONLY WR worth a damn to trade up for Bryce soo… And this is kind of the issue with the anti Bryce crowd. This crowd tends to blame him for the trade up. I was team Stroud. Had the panthers not taken Young the only other QB they were going to take was Richardson. So your issue should be with Tepper, Morgan, Fitterer not Bryce.  Bryce is who he is and it was pretty obvious who he was during the draft process. Bryce is slowly developing into that guy most thought he’d be. Give him a WR like Jamo and this offense as a whole would improve greatly.  Anyone thinking he was the next Pat Mahomes or Josh Allen is clearly slow. Bryce was always going to need pieces around him much like EVERY other QB Burrow has Chase and Higgins and they’ve done nothing. After losing in AFC Championship in 2022, Burrow is 17-15. QB’s need a team around them It’s why a Jalen Hurts led Eagles team dismantled a Pat Mahomes led KC team in the SB Imo the QB’s doing the most with the least up until this year have been Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson  This year it’s Drake Maye and Josh Allen  Outside of the 3-5 elite type QB’s I’m not really sure what people expect here. Is Bryce ever going to be in that elite category? Nope. Should we punt on Bryce and keep swinging? I don’t think so. Should we keep swinging while hanging onto Bryce? Yeah but I don’t know what that looks like This team as a whole isn’t very good. Offense and defense and that’s the simple truth
    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
