Cam outplayed Peyton Manning today

Imagine Cam and the Panthers without Olsen and KB which is what happened to the Broncos when Thomas and Sanders went down with injuries.

Not to mention the Rams defense, while not as good as last year, is still way better than Atlanta's....not even sure why this thread exists we couldn't score vs the putrid Falcons defense...

Peyton Manning: 75.3 QB rating, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 7.2 yards/att

Cam Newton: 82.3 QB rating, 2 TD, 2 INTs, 7.9 yards/att

as for Matt Ryan today: 91.7 QB rating, 1 TD, 0 INT, 6.0 yards/att

It was also Manning's worse game of the year, and it would only have been Cam's 5th worst. This was Cam's best game in 5 weeks. Silly topic is silly.

If Cam ever learns to put 4 quarters together, we could dominate.  He had time today.  Missed too many throws.  His mechanics are not good right now.

Disclaimer: Of course, it was all the fault of the WRs, OL, OC, Rivera, Owner, GM and haters.

Wow... didn't know anyone could reach far enough to begin comparing Cam Newton to one of the best QBs to ever play the game..... lol

really?  Because since he played his first game people have been comparing him to brady and manning in every freaking way possible, it's retarded... both in a good light and a bad light.

But wait... there's another thread in here somewhere when someone pointed out to me there were at least 5 dropped catchable passes today.

Yeah.............. I'm not one of those people; never have been.

didn't say you were.

you commented that you were surprised someone was reaching to compare Cam to Manning.

I was commenting that you shouldn't be due to the frequency of it happening.

    • thats fair.   I was beginning to think rookie punter was in the plans
    • Sam Martin   CARPunter#6 Panthers re-signed P Sam Martin to a two-year contract. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Martin’s deal is up to $5 million. Martin joined the Panthers last season on a one-year deal and wound up booting 56 punts for an average of 47.2 yards per punt. Martin is a 13-year vet of the league who has spent time with four different franchises. He landed a career-best 48.2 percent of his kicks inside his opponent’s 20-yard line last season.
    • Surprised CB is that low.  19th is odd spot. For many recent drafts, teams only felt there were around 14 first round players.  So to many 19 is just an early second and doesn't hold the value of a first.  If you go off- the smart path of LT, QB, edge, WR, CB, etc. Whatever your OG, Safety, ILB, etc needs to be a difference maker, that's the key point. I've said the 8th best edge is better than the 1st safety. Same for QB and even WRs. You should 100% factor in position value.  MHS you've been wanting a FS, let me tell you its super difficult to be a difference making FS. You're just sooo farrrr away from the action and the end result most times. If you're in the play, defense made mistakes in order. Now to talk out of both sides, maaaaaann that white boy from Oregon....I thought he crushed the combine and honestly that alone made me rethink "is he worth 19 now?!?!" he's now in the discussion for me, but still below others.    Plus I feel TE is vastly underrated in value terms. But looking at the last 20 years of TEs in the first, its down right bad. You're better like X10 better drafting one in 4th or 5th.
