Hardy, Kalil, DeAngelo, Stewart, Bell, Charles Johnson: Who will be back next year?

Should?  Hardy, Stewart, Kalil and Bell as a backup if his numbers are less than the ludicrous $2mil he's hustling the Panthers for this year.

Will?  Kalil, Stewart, Bell (probably with pay raise for facing the hardship of trying to block all those big meanie DEs), CJ

Hardy - gone, sadly (if not-guilty)

CJ -  massive paycut but most likely, gone (ATL signs him and he becomes a beast again after getting over injuries)

Bell - back, probably starting at RT or hopefully on the bench lol

DWill - gone, maybe bring back if he wants a new cheaper contract

Kalil -  paid too much as a center, needs to take a pay cutt/restruct/cut and resign or something

Stewart - same as DWill maybe

Gettleman will let Hardy/CJ walk and say the line is fine.  Next year's DLine is this year's Oline.

Kalil needs to stay. You think our line sht now lets just get rid of our probowl center. Brilliant.

Deangelo needs to go. Johnson staying is all dependent on what happens with Hardy in my opinion. Stewart has to restructure to stay. Don't give a damn about Bell at this point.

As said ad nauseam for the past couple of years, you can never include Stew in these conversations. His contract makes doing ANYTHING impossible unless he decides to straight up forgo money out of the kindness of his heart:

So if we cut Stew, he won't be a 8.3 cap hit?

    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
    • According to Scott Fowler, in an article about former Panthers announcer applying for a job with the Ravens... what that job pays, incidentally, when the Ravens posted it publicly they said the salary would be $4,000 to $5,000 per game. An NFL season consists of 20-24 games, including the preseason and potential playoff games, so it will end up somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000 a year. The person hired will be an independent contractor, which is commonplace in the NFL these days for team broadcasters, and also have other radio and TV hosting assignments.  https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article315839800.html
    • That’s a good find. We will see. Who is still here from when he was?
