Lance and Kemba sorta duplicate each other..Lance is seemingly only a bigger version of Kemba. Where a Gordon Hayward would have enhanced Kemba...Lance and Kemba seem to get in each others way.

Decide who to keep(at this stage Lance is still the better player) and build from there...this backcourt is ass.

That was why I didn't really want to sign Lance, despite being a big fan of his. If Kemba isn't here, then absolutely yes, by all means. But because our FO already considered Kemba a core piece, then I didn't think it made any sense.

They are redundant, but ideally, and I hate to say it being a short guy myself (which is why I have always been a Kemba fan), but if you had to choose one to be your primary ball handler/point/playmaker, I would go with Lance bc he is bigger and does the same things, therefore, he creates match up problems.

I never thought I would get to this point, but if the right offer presented itself, I would probably deal Kemba at this point. He has improved as a shooter and decision maker, but not enough. And I would consider dealing Kemba because at this point, I don't think Lance would have much of a market because of his reputation and what has transpired thus far. But the, I don't know that Kemba would have much of a market either.

Either way, they really can't be on the floor at the same time, so Clifford needs to make the adjustments or one has to be dealt and Clifford needs to be fired.

It really sucks when you know how the story is gonna play out and sure enough it does. I took my daughter to her first Hornets game tonight and at her first nba game she learned to boo the refs at every opportunity, yell at Cody for being soft when attacking the rim unless it's an uncontested dunk, and screaming at the coach when during crunch time in the 4th and PJ was on the bench.

On the plus side she got to see Steph Curry tonight. Also on the plus side, he played like poo so your daughter won't instantly turn into a Dubs fan. :)

That would require Lance to have a j to begin with.

Kemba makes plays for himself more so than others, especially late. He forces the issue and goes away from what made him successful the first three quarters.

Funny how many big shots and timely offensive plays Stephenson made in Indiana.

I repeat...that's because they were good.

For "emotion-driven" players like him, they make shots when other people around them make shots or when they have bigger stars and reputations to feed (energy) off of. He made a few good plays in the first half, but even those plays looked odd on this team because the personnel is subpar. That's the reason he's out of place, because they need him to be something he's not. He can look like your best player if you have stars on your team. The Hornets don't.

Love MKG all you want, but this franchise's fate was sealed when a team that needed offense and shooting used the #2 draft pick on a guy who only went that high because his team won the NCAA title only because Kendall Marshall got injured.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
