Brandon Lafell

Meh. I was a fan of his, and frequently defended him from the "Lafail" bullshit, but even I couldn't defend him anymore by seasons end. Lafell basically sealed his own fate, if he hadn't mostly disappeared in the second half of a contract year, he would probably still be here.

Wish him well regardless, what's done is done.

He's nothing special. It's no surprise his numbers are marginally better in New England's system than when he was working under the great Mike Shula. He's still not going to crack 1000 yards and literally nobody on this board though we should have outbid what NE paid for him when he initially signed with them. Anyone bringing this up as a reason to trash the FO is really reaching hard.

4 weeks left and LaFell has career highs this year in TDs, yards and catches. He's an important part of a balanced NE passing attack.

Far above mediocre.

Well he wasn't producing that way when he was here..

Sometimes, a player benefits from a change of scenery for a variety of reasons.  You can't just assume he would be worth the same amount of money to us.

Reche Caldwell put up 61 catches and 4 TDs in NE as well... Just sayin'. LaFell found a situation where he wasn't under pressure as a primary target and is playing well.

yeah just sayin' if we had a good system and great QB it wouldn't matter who we brought in at WR. You are sayin it is not the wr as much as the QB and the scheme?

I'm saying that average receivers look better when playing in an offense full of other stars with one of the best all-time QBs. Who would've guessed?
