Favorite Hornet of All-Time?

Mine is Eddie Jones. He was only here for a season and a half but he was the coolest. He had a really fluid game and although he was never dominant he was good at everything but ball handling and was a saint off the court.  Great player and a great role model. Love playing with the 1997 LA Lakers in 2k14. Only wish they had 96 so I could have Van Exel too!

Man, its so tough...

Because of our history of so many great players but not ever retaining them, there were so many I loved at different points just the same.

Starting with LJ, arguably the first and biggest pro sports icon of the Carolinas. I loved Muggy so much that I cried when we traded him to GS.

I can't believe EJ was only here for a season and a half, it seems like it was so much longer. I LOVED EJ! I remember being so excited when we got him because of all those highlight dunks he was racking up in LA. I truly feel he could've been a superstar had he stayed in Charlotte. I also will never forget him wearing those Jordan XVs with the cowl around the top. It was sick!

But for some reason, the two guys that may actually be my favorites, we're BDiddy and Glenn Rice. Just so many awesome memories of those guys, and they were so dominant for their time with us.

Baron Davis had as much talent as I've ever seen in a player. Physically dominant beast. He could post up, dunk over anyone and had some of the best (or at least flashiest) ball handling skills.

He's definitely up there for me as well.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
