tampa bay has the first overall pick as of now

I don't think Tennessee takes a QB; and if Whisenhunt wants to keep his job then he better beat the Jets at home this week or he could be out. If he beats the Jets at home; Jets will select ahead of TEN

The Titans have to take a QB. I mean, they are a dumpster fire and that's the glaring hole. When you have guys like Mettenberger starting for you, injuring his knee, then Jake Locker coming in off the bench, you're in a rough place.

TB is definitely going QB, unless there is something fishy with Jay Cutler getting traded (there was some weird talk about his contract today and how much they could save if they trade him this offseason. Lovie might would want to reunite with Cutler).

The Jets will go QB, because Geno is terribad and Vick is getting too old.

And Oakland will probably go QB, because a new head coach is going to want his own guy to groom and create into the mold that he wants.

We could realistically be looking at a scenario where Mariota, Winston, Petty, and Hundley all go in the Top 6.

I have heard it said that Harbaugh likes Carr, if he is indeed the next coach then I doubt they go QB

Carr has played well.  Don't think the new coach is going to replace him, at least not right away.  Would be in our best interests if they did take a QB though, because Raiders could just as easily take Cooper as anyone else.  They're as deficient at WR as any team in the league.

Don't see why Raiders will go QB. If there was a mock redo, Carr would be the first QB taken.

Locker is done. Mettenberger is so-so.

If you have the no1 pick + that lack of QB play, if you don't go QB when there are two pretty good ones to choose from you must be damn crazy. I hope Tennessee is not that stupid.

Unless there's another guy that they like more who would be there in the 2nd, then you trade down bc TB or NYJ will def move up for Mariota or Winston.

    • Aho…come out and prove me wrong boy.
    • I mean, I hear what y'all are saying, but Derrick could have been positive without being negative.  He essentially accused people of not seeing Bryce's improvement because of their desire to not be wrong. He could've kept it about Bryce and the team. For example, he could've said: "Bryce has made strides, and we believe in him. This coming season, his continued improvement will turn a lot of people into believers."  That would've been supportive of his teammate and sent a message to the doubters. That being said, his tact almost summoned and left the door ajar for more skepticism. That's my take anyway. Bryce has improved from the bottom to perhaps skirting the line between the bottom third and mid-third at best...after three seasons. We've all seen it. Yay! In my mind, Bryce has still got a long way to go and a short time to get there, but my expectations are top five--at least top 10--always! Yes, I am a fan, so there's that, but I don't believe it's unreasonable to expect excellence. Hopefully the Panthers FO has the same mindset (and that doesn't even necessarily have anything to do with what we gave up to acquire him). That is the lens I'm looking through. Derrick Brown has his homer glasses on. He just needs to be more diplomatic and thoughtful with his words in my opinion, but I get it that he's a good teammate.
    • I have no doubt the Canes will come out like gangbusters, huge bounce back from game one - my only concern is Freddie, if he lets in a couple of softies and Dobes stays hot we could be in trouble.
