Winners and Losers from Miami game

We still seem to be playing really basic schemes, i think it has to do with miami and the giants being future opponents.

Or maybe the fact that it's pre-season and you don't use complicated schemes or gameplan.

I would say the biggest loser is Peppers seeing that he is getting 17 million to just be average and occasionally show signs of brilliance.

If the game plan is simplified, then they are even worse for looking confused. In any case, they should at least tackle. No excuse for bad tackling.

I hope they turn it around, but it really is looking like our defense is going to suck this year.

I hope we are playing that far off of WR's in an attempt to show everyone what we AREN'T going to do in real games, this defense looks the same as it always has, except we can't even stop the run now.

the crap line play was because they were stuffing 8 or 9 guys in the box on almost every play in the first half. We kept running, they kept stuffing. Expect a lot of that this year.

with what Ive seen so far, the lack of defense we have under our new coordinator, were going to need to put some major points on the board to have any hopes of winning some games this year.

I really dont understand how a team that is coached by a defense minded guy like Fox is supposed to be, can suck this badly on d, preseason or not.

Ron Meeks just complacently accepts not having a good run defense. It's nothing new in his system. What bothers me is how bad the pass defense is. What the hell was that defensive coverage on Ronnie Brown called? All in all, good game though for the Panthers. Nick Hayden will be gone this week, so will the following:

Geissenger...or whatever the hell he's called

C.J Wilson

Munnerlyn...This boy is slower than Mark Jones, and slow for a CB
