Kelvin Benjamin sad after ATL Postgame

You could see how KB looked during the post game talk and I doubt it was because he is camera shy, i bet he knew he could have done better and I hope it doesn't get him too down and he gives it his all come playoffs. He is a rookie and still very much a young man. All he needs to do is work on those hands and always keeping focused like he has shown us when he catches balls no player let alone a rookie(not named OBJ)has any business catching, disappointment like these can only make him stronger! #Keep Pounding

Rookie or not, dropping passes excuses are officially worth nothing now. It's playoff time and he's being paid big money to catch passes and block DB'S..... but mostly JUST to catch passes.

EVERY PLAYER, including rookies, need to step up their play. Norwell has, Ealy has, Bene has, Trai has, tre has...... it's time for our first round pick to step his play up for playoffs. No execuses.

It takes a certain amount of refined skill and coordination to have good hands. Not everyone can just go out there develop good hands this late in their career. Sort of similar to ball-handling and shooting in basketball.

This isn't no sure easy thing KB can fix. Sure he can improve no doubt, but its also possible he never really fixes his dropsie problem.

I said that KB was the right pick given where we ending up selecting.

As an FSU alum, I attended 3 of our home games in Tallahassee last year, and watched every FSU game on TV. There was a reason that he was not projected as a top 10 pick despite having a top 10 WR body and skill set.

He drops too many routine passes, and still yet, is not a WR that can dominate a football game like some of his rookie classmates. It is a constant of KB to drop simply passes and then make spectacular ones the next series or quarter. The problem is those drops are drive killers and CAN cause a QB to quickly lose confidence in him.

At the end of the day, he is a great WR for where he was selected and given the alternatives.

But that doesn't mean that given that fact that he is the end all of our WR core, that 4 other rookie WRs this past year couldn't have achieve at least as good numbers in this offense.

He just needs to keep working, and the Panthers FO needs to get him some help to keep defenses from double teaming him.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
