The Panthers are Scary

Just read this article and got fired up. Not sure if it's been posted but....DAMN! Someone else outside of our homer fanbase can see it.

Right now, everyone believes the Dallas Cowboys are the most challenging squad in the NFC not from Seattle. To me, the scariest team to play in all of football could be Carolina. This is not because the Panthers beat the soft Falcons. It's because they're just good. Period.

Not saying he's Cam Unitas, but a Newton who is throwing with accuracy and is back to running the football with confidence again should make teams nervous. Really nervous.

This entire Panthers team should. Go ahead and laugh at their record. Laugh at their division (actually, that's OK). Laugh at it all. But these Panthers are in play. They're legit.

The Panthers will host Arizona, and they will crush the Cardinals.

Everyone here must have forgot about how this team has a tendency to make pedestrian players look like HOFers. If this team thinks they can show up and put a w in the column then our playoff run will end in Charlotte.

Uh you do realize this is just an analyst who is buying into the panthers not the panthers organization itself right? None of the panthers players or coaches have said anything even close to what this writer has said.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
