So Ryan Lilly* is going to find a way to beat us? I understand their defense is good but there is no way they will win with defense alone.  Also when we played them last year there were some REALLY sketchy calls on us plus that sack fumble touchdown CJ should of had.  Also if we do not punt to PP we win that game SMH.

Pat Kirwan is pretty knowledgeable about our team.

Also, your title is pretty misguided. He didn't say that Lindley was going to find a way to beat us, he said that the Cardinals were going to blitz the heck out of us and hit the heck out of us and find a way to win EVEN with Lindley at QB, which could very well happen. Also, who gives a sh*t? They have the right to pick whoever they want.

I've been saying this in the many obsession threads created about these analyst picks yet they still get created and obsessed over for no reason.

Josh Norman clearly doesn't give a poo, so why should we, right...

Not to mention these people creating these threads are just furthering these d-bags careers by linking their stuff.

Congrats to the OP, Pete Prisco is making money off of you.

why the fug are panther fans so arrogant going into this game? like literally every other post on here is completly dismissing the cardinals and overlooking them.

The same people who were shitting on every facet of this team four weeks ago.

The cardinals arent a joke people

Thank you! They have one hell of a coaching staff and will have their team ready to play. People are in for a HUGE letdown if they think we are just going to roll over them.

4th ranked pass D and 20th ranked run D (only 3 spots lower than Carolina in run D).

Maybe having DeAngelo Williams back is a good thing. Carolina may have to run the ball 40 times.

Seems to me the last time Panther fans took Arizona pretty lightly, the results weren't that good. 2008 post season, anyone? Sure, Carson Palmer went down in Week 10, but this team still went 11-5 with backup QBs for the last 7 weeks.

Ryan Lindley is trash but the amount of people on this site who think it is unreasonable to believe an 11-5 team will beat a 7-8-1 team is astounding.  We barely beat a Brian Hoyer / Johnny Manziel led Cleveland Browns squad and they aren't nearly as good or well-coached as the Arizona team we will be playing Saturday.

I have confidence in my team and i think we can win convincingky if we play our best ball and execute.

I will not dog or ridicule or make fun of anyone who picks the cardinals. Ive seen the good and bad panthers this season. I cant believe some fans are thinking this will be a cake walk.. like who the fuxk are we to be all superior and poo?

Pete Prisco ladies and gentlemen.

Carolina Panthers

Best pick: Third-round defensive tackle Sione Fua is a power player who will help at a position of dire need.

Questionable move: Taking Cam Newton with the first pick in the draft after taking Jimmy Clausen last year. Newton is a very high risk-reward prospect.

Third-day gem: Sixth-round linebacker Lawrence Wilson was a productive player at Connecticut who will add speed to the linebacker group.

Analysis: Their draft will be defined by Newton. If he becomes a star, this will be a nice draft. If he busts, heads will roll. I like the pick of two defensive tackles after the Newton pick.

Grade: C

This is what he does. He says stupid poo. People link it across the internet, he gets paid. Need more proof?

Dallas Cowboys

Best pick: I like the pick of Bruce Carter in the second round. He is coming off an ACL injury, so he might be limited in 2010, but he has star potential if on the field.

Questionable move: Taking DeMarco Murray in the third round was a strange move with all the other needs they have.

Third-day gem: Sixth-round pick Dwayne Harris is a steal. He will make their team and be a good slot receiver.

Analysis: They added a starter in tackle Tyron Smith and then filled in some holes, though I think they could have gone in another direction when they picked Murray.

    • Sure, there's definitely a chance that a fire sale in 2022 could've paid off but I don't think that's a certainty. It's not just about stockpiling the picks and bettering odds; it's about hitting on those picks, having a stable coaching staff to develop them, and keeping the locker room engaged. We didn't exactly have a model front office nor stable coaching staff in 2022. It's worth noting that part of the reason that DJ had to be included in the trade up for #1 was because the Bears needed an immediate, proven WR1 to help Fields. It was him or another immediate first-round pick, not a future one like what was being offered for Burns (whom teams knew that things were shaky with and that they could afford to wait). As for the Eagles, they recovered because the foundation was already in place. Pederson got flak and was ultimately fired (and was just fired again this offseason from the Jags). Their recovery was quick because the foundation was already in place: Howie Roseman and a solid roster (that included a stacked OL, a second year QB, and a veteran defense). Philly had a margin of error that just wasn't available to Carolina. I'm not against using the draft to rebuild, but a full-on teardown comes with real consequences: fan disengagement, a fractured locker room, poor development, a losing environment... and I don't believe that we had the necessary leadership at the time to cleanly navigate it. That's a gamble that I want no part of.  Now that we do have a staff that seems to be in complete alignment and building for the future rather than fighting for their jobs, I'm more inclined to observe their process and see where it leads rather than backseat driving with "perfect" hindsight.
    • I see it a bit differently considering there is only 20M in cap space. Given how many of the premium positions are on rookie contracts their cap should not be nearly maxed out. Tillis still has a lot of work to do before these rookies will need a second contract.
