Rare decent read from the "writers" of the Bleacher Report. A couple of things I appreciated.

" But Newton deserves something: admiration, appreciation, the realization that if he isn't a franchise quarterback, maybe the term needs to be redefined."

" Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert returned to rescue the running game from the likes of DeAngelo Williams and Fozzy Whittaker." - Not real accurate as Tolbert has been bad and Whittaker has looked pretty good

" If Cam Newton had Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd to throw to, he would be an MVP candidate."

"Some might argue that the Panthers don't "deserve" to be in the playoffs. But you cannot argue that they don't belong. They did not quit. They found ways to survive and get better. Their quarterback was a big part of that. Look for Newton to win his first career playoff game on Saturday. After the season he has had, that should mean more than any award.

Prediction: Panthers 22, Cardinals 13"

24th ranked good defense?

The cards are pretty good at getting turnovers. They arent the best at stopping an O but they get the ball. Biggest weakness I've seen out of that D is stopping the TE. Even more so than the run. Foote has been burnt all year in coverage. This game comes down to OUR OLine. If Cam has time and the mollys do their job ,we win. Cards cant say the same

Olsen should have a huge game, as long as we can keep Cam clean.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
