Panthers might not get Chip Kelly twice

I don't think Rivera gets fired even with a loss tomorrow. As ugly as this season has been being the first coach in the NFCS to repeat counts for something.

With that said I fully believe we will win tomorrow, it's when we play Seattle in Seattle that has me concerned

Ideal scenario:

Beat Cards, Lions get a huuge upset in Seattle...after they get it together, beating the Cowgirls.

NFCC in Charlotte against Detroit.

Torn. Potentially playing Seattle means the Cowboys win. I can never bring myself to root for the Cowboys.

If the Lions win they play Seattle and we play Green Bay. Seattle gets the lowest seed left. Lions are a 6 seed, we are 4, Cowboys are 3.

I go back and forth with Rivera. There's a solid NFL coach in him, but sometimes his conservative, tight butthole, coaching not to lose bullshit gets the better of him. I think the Panthers could get beat 50-0 tomorrow and he'd still be safe. The repeat division championship and playoff appearances combined with Jerry's reluctance to pay coaches that no longer work for him more than likely bought him 2 more safe years here. Rivera squeaked by this year by about as close as you can get.

I think if we get beat down, Rivera is out. It's the only way.

I disagree. I just hope Ron has the team ready tomorrow because we know Arians will have the Cards ready. They could trot out Ryan Leaf tomorrow and I'd still be worried. This is a big opportunity for Rivera to fully slam his foot down and let the fan base know he is the coach and he ain't going anywhere.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
