does McD have a right hand man?

Wilks is officially the passing game coordinator, he's more Rivera's guy in the grand scheme, but he definitely has a heavy load with the defense.   He was the initial choice by Rivera to coordinate the defense, supposedly, but the media didn't happen to mention that until year 2 of Rivera, when Wilks showed up as DBs coach.

I'll never understand what the media gets out of not reporting things.  If they hold back things on players to keep getting access to players, fair enough, but do your job and report what's happening on the team.

I can see him getting interviewed again for a HC spot but I don't think any of the teams with openings would hire him given the rest of the market.

If we crush it next season on D, I think that will catapult him to a team.

Yeah not sure why you think he's going somewhere... Just because Gruden was having an orgasm talking about him yesterday?

It's because he's been interviewed for big HC spots before and is regarded in some league circles.  He had one rough season in Philly but pending another season coaching this defense, he could get a spot.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
