Hornets Nets and OKC in three way trade talks

No one wants Lance, we're stuck right now.

Nobody wanted him in the draft (except Indy) and nobody wanted him in free agency (except Indy). Why do people expect anyone to want him now?

He's got the worst shot of any guard in the NBA. He's a ballhog and malcontent. He's useless.

Ok we know that the Lance experiment seems to be coming to an end but here are a few things to think about...

1. What's the harm if we got him in FA (free) and flip him for a project (Lamb type)? Basically it would be like getting a young prospect in FA. Now I don't think we should take on much $$ in the process but us being aggressive in FA gives us some assets to try and flip.

2. He must truly be malcontent if we are not giving him time to adjust to a new team with all these injuries. I think this has to do with attitude more than performance.

3. If we can't flip him for anything what's next? Im sure he can't be too happy and that will affect his performance.

I think the Hornets should have tried to trade Lance earlier.  They thought about it, but decided to hold off on it.  Now, they can't get rid of the guy.  Yet as some have already said, his contract makes it easier to part ways with him in the coming years.  So it's not like we threw a lot of cash his way.

How do you know they didn't try earlier?

It's not like you could have tried too much earlier considering you couldn't trade him until mid Decmeber.

I still have this gut feeling that Lance, given some more time with this team, will gel and become the leader and dynamic player we hoped for when signing him.

He just hasn't had enough time to really get his feet wet and settle into the system.

Kemba is gonna be the leader of this team for the foreseeable future. Lance wasn't even a leader on the Pacers. He's not mature enough to lead anyone.

Amazing what value some think Lance has... His play in Charlotte and now lockeroom battles in two of his stops..KILLS IT

Jack is a great backup guard who can start and can fill a stat sheet efficiently. Lamb gives this team a more consistent catch and shoot guy that PJ has not been as of yet.

This move improves the team and Kemba may miss games bc he has a knee injury at the moment(per Clifford this morn on WFNZ)
