So you're telling me the word of a random reporter in Houston means more than the word of the team's GM?

 

Not saying that this is the case, but this GM first denied reports that Harbaugh was on the block also.  And, yes, that turned out to be a lie because they in fact made overtures.

The only reason I have a hard time believing this report is because they literally have no other option that even comes close to Colin at the QB position and that isn't saying much. They aren't in a position to draft someone better either. I suppose we could see another player for player deal but that is rare.

Well.,Chip could throw in Foles as one of the bones to persuade them to pull the trigger.  Foles and some picks may just be enough to go a long way.

It's the fuging 49ers. They let Harbaugh go for fuging Tomsula. I could see them wanting Foles and picks, or even trying to go for Winston or Mariota.

I've seen tweets about the 9ers reaching out to Brian Hoyer, FWIW. Trade Kaep, have Hoyer as a stop gap, draft an actual franchise QB?

The Eagles and 49ers...both franchises have gone wonkers.  I will personally relish watching the impending implosion on both coasts.

 

I say the 49ers go first.

The Houston guy who's reporting it is relying on info from a Bleacher Report guy who says he's got ties to the Niners.  Neither one is anybody we've heard of before.

 

Could be looking to make a rep.
