NFL Free Agency Update Thread

I'm telling yall right here, if the Jets can land Cromartie, they might be a formidable team.  They have Brandon Marshall as a solid number one, and Decker can hold down the number two receiver spot.  They just need a decent QB.  Probably don't have that in Geno, but perhaps they may draft the QB out of Baylor in the second round.

Also this:

@SiriusXMNFL

Steve Smith Sr "Luke Kuechly is killing it and has to be paid as one of best NFL players. If Carolina won't, somebody will"

It's really sweet that Smitty still has an interest in our players, but I have no doubts that part of the reason we aren't going ape-feces crazy in FA is to ensure that Cam and Luke are going to get paid.  It's just a theory I have; it might be crazy!

If Cam is offered the same money as what we offer by someone else he is going to a team that will build around him which I expect to happen.

I expect that you (nor I or anyone else) knows jackshit about Cam Newton's contract negotiations and where he will play football after those negotiations are over.

Any team needing a QB and has the money. Cam is a good QB who has not been given WR help and there is a lot of teams out there who would offer him in a heartbeat compared to what they have now.

If "WR help" were the true key to guaranteed future success, please to be explaining the Atlanta Falcons.

I'll sit here and wait.

    • Not sure he is in the top ten but: His 9.99 RAS score, second among 1,512 tackles since 1987, isn't a gimmick. You see every bit of that explosiveness translate to the field when he kicks and slides in pass sets. NFLDraftBuzz
    • Ya win some, ya lose some. Legette looks to be a loss.  The time for disappointment has passed. I expect nothing, so if I get something I will be surprised.
    • I got called into HR one time, as they were doing their research after a verbal altercation that I had with another employee. He was the one that started the sh¡t and had the nerve to go to HR. Well, I did the meeting, & the manager gave me her card & said if there was anything else I wanted to say regarding the investigation, to contact her. I thought about it later that day, so I used our company email and told her that I was willing to take a lie detector test, and that if he and his two friends were willing to do the same, once it was determined that they were lying and that I was telling the truth, then they would have to be punished accordingly. Funny thing is, after that, I never heard from her again, or anything about the investigation. It's like it never happened.  Anyway, yeah 89 isn't doing himself any favors with this one. He wants to fight with a guy old enough to be his dad because of Rivera's lack of communication, even if there was some perceived hypocrisy going on. That's just not a good look.
