Saints attempting to trade WR Kenny Stills

Would offer a second for him in a heartbeat but that tweet says nothing about Stills...

I assumed they offered him to Seattle first before offering Graham, but the price for us would probably be higher

I don't know if I would be cool with a second but maybe a third would be okay

Many of us are hoping for a guy like Devin Smith or Agholor in the second, well... Stills is 22 years old and basically had a 1000 yard season last year.

If Saints get a 2nd for him they'll have a nice pile of high picks, great way to start rebuilding but still doesn't make sense why they'd want to trade a guy who is on his rookie deal still and coming off a great season

Stills was like a 5th round pick whose numbers have been inflated by Brees. We're also in a league where Brandon Marshall went for a 5th and the Texans couldn't find a taker for Andre Johnson.

He's younger on a miniscule contract, so it's not cap related, but still. No higher than a 6th, but they'll never trade him here anyway.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
