Vikings shopping Cordarrelle Patterson

The Vikings have been disappointed with Patterson because he has problems learning the playbook and has not developed as a route runner.

Essentially he has not progressed as a WR and he is limited to gadget plays kind of like Harvin.

True..... but its harder to game plan against the Harvin's and the Patterson, not the Cotchery's and Bersins.

DG said no to Tiffany's

. . . and he's gonna want to get paid.

For what? Underperforming for 2 years? KB has better numbers after 1 year than he has after 2. And they were drafted in roughly the same position,. If he's gonna get paid, then KB's salary will be measured only in brinks trucks.

I love how on the huddle a free agent thread will pop up and you'll automatically have half the people against it no matter what. All with various reasons why this player is a problem all failing to realize every player who is on the market at this time comes with issues. There's no such thing as a perfect FA. They either cost to much, have character concern, or aren't that good anymore.

As for Patterson, for that price he's a steal. If I was Gettleman I'd make a call Atleast to inquire

    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
    • Looks like Darnold should have had at least 3 picks. That'll get ugly in the playoffs eventually. Can't deny his physical talent though. You either have that or you don't. Mike Macdonald is a legit coach.
