I have a question for Jeremy that somehow is about pie but not really related to this thread, and it remarkably has the potential of improving this thread:

 

We once argued (heatedly) over what constitutes a pie.  I suggested that chocolate can be a pie filling, and you denounced my proclamation on the basis that pies must have a "fruit" filling.  I countered that the cocoa bean is indeed a plant's fruit, a comment that received no retort.  I quietly claimed victory and my self esteem expanded.  The other day, my wife brought home a pie--a pumpkin pie.  Hmmmm, I thought.  Where would a pumpkin pie fit into Jeremy's philosophy?  Would he consider it pie? If not, would he eat it anyway, or would his pride intervene?
