NBA Memo to Hornets Leaked

As someone who has had to watch Gerald Henderson for years I can appreciate this letter.

And before the Hendo crowd jumps all over me for that, he has been playing that way since he got here year's ago and hasn't changed, which makes him the poster child for the Hornets lack of long range shooting, even when he has teammates that are somehow worse..

Hey, the only way to watch the Hornets this year is to laugh, cry, or make corny jokes. I choose the latter.

The 3 point concept has always been something that has been lost on the new iteration of the Charlotte franchise. From not being able to shoot it, to not ever defending it. Bulls started the game 11-14 from 3 in the first 15 minutes. Then the Jazz go 12-15 from 3 in the first half. I've never seen that happen in one game, let alone back to back games.

Allowing 23-29 from 3 should force some adjustments. Hell, Diop couldn't even go 23-29 on layups, and we allow this from 3 in a competitive game.

To have two long time franchises set records for 3 point makes to start the game, the league felt they had to step in and let them know about this concept.

It is interesting that we have lacked the ability to score consistently from behind the arc since Emeka Okafor's first photo with a Bobcats cap.

Like, I love Seinfeld, but If I watched it every year for 12 straight years, watching the same material, the jokes would eventually get...

...actually they would still be hilarious...bad example...

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
