Veteran WRs getting no interest

do we need to pay for a meh vet when we will likely get a better WR in the draft?

There is no substitute for experience. In some situations experience will take you farther than talent. It should be valued and respected. A good mix of the two is ideal.

I'm not asking for an All-Pro to be signed, I'm just asking for a better veteran WR option than Jerricho Cotchery. I don't think that will be too hard or too expensive to accomplish.

I definitely think we'll see another veteran WR added, I just don't know exactly who or when.

Hold to hope, bruh. Free agency isn't over, other WR cuts will happen too.

I want upgrades too, I want another OT( prefered LT). Even if the panthers add my wish list of #2WR and a legit LT, I STILL want 2 WRs AND 2 OTs in the draft. Not just late rounders, early picks in the first three rounds. I can only hope BPA on dave broad matches up.

I don't know if I would go that far.

Look at all the WR's that went in the first round of the draft last year (Watkins, Evans, Beckham Jr, Cooks, Benjamin).

There hasn't been a high first round used pick used on an RB since Trent Richardson in 2012, and we know how that turned out.

I don't think it will hit RB levels of devaluation, but I could see a GM drafting WRs like LBERS and DL, handfuls in the mid rounds and avoid huge deals.

Aren't rookie contracts slotted by draft spot and not position?

Handfuls in the mid rounds is what he said

My point was in regards to passing on WRs in the early 1st to avoid the salary. If contracts are slotted by draft position and not field position then you aren't going to avoid the contract as you have to draft somebody early. I don't know if what I am saying is correct about the slotted salaries so I asked if that was true.
