our player history is pretty piss poor, especially from 95-01. unless you want to bring up a drunk kerry collins on stage.

 

peppers will be the first guy who makes the HOF that people consider a panther first and foremost.

 

It would have made more since to see Mike Minter or Moose up there.....

We can't be laughing about this one.  I guarantee you more fans recognize Greg Jones that recognize Pat Terrell.  Plus, Terrell only played three seasons with us where as Jones spent all but his final NFL season in Jacksonville.

 

Don't like to knock my Panthers, but unless Terrell has been a lot more involved with the Panthers behind the scenes after his playing career ended than I'm aware of, then Jones is a much better selection for Jacksonville than Terrell is for us.

 

It's also worth noting that Panthers fans would be stoked if it was Brad Hoover announcing our selection.

No other former Carolina Panther wanted to do this?  Really?  Not Delhomme, Moose, Mike Minter...hell even Brad Hoover is a major upgrade over this.  Embarrassing.

Pat Terrell was a baller when he was with us... Man, I loved those early safeties - Brett Maxie, Pat Terrell, Chad Cota...

Perhaps some of it was just my youth, but those guys would knock the snot out of people. And my memories of Terrell consist, for some reason, of him always making big plays and returning picks for yardage. Maybe he didn't do that often, but when he did it seemed amazing to me as a kid.

Now, all that being said, i also remember, even with my limited understanding of FA, that he left us for a fast deal with the Packers IIRC, and then I immediately hated his guts... So, yeah... Doesn't seem like a lot of history there for him to be representing us.
