I'd probably take up smoking again rather than ingest propelyne glycol. But I'm sure everyone who "vapes" has researched what propelyne glycol is used for...

 

But then, I smoked for 37 years and quit cold with about 3 days of withdrawals. That was 7 years ago. Doctor told me couple months ago he would be hard pressed to find any physical evidence or remaining effects from my smoking days.

I smoked 20+ years and stopped. But over the last 5 or so I have been smoking a few, nothing much 5-7 a week. Marlboro red. But I don't really want to realize one day I'm buy a pack a day...so I thought I would try vapes.

I quit for five years with not one smoke.then started doing the same thing. I got my vape 6 months ago and haven't had or wanted one since.

Propelyne Glycol isn't really that harmful. I think you're thinking of Ethylene Glycol, which is extremely toxic.

Propelyne Glycol is used in all kinds of products- anti-freeze, dog food, makeup, shampoo, conditioner, etc. I'm fairly certain it's also used in the little preservative bags our bulk amplifier diodes and capacitors are shipped in at work to keep out moisture.

I'm sure it's somewhat harmful to ingest, but it can't be any worse than the other chemicals that are pumped into most foods and drinks.

That said, I don't care what people use- marijuana, cigarettes, cigars, vapor, etc. Just don't blow the poo in my face unless you wanna get smacked in the face.

So just a question with everyone on here, I am a GM of a Starbucks and they ban smoking on the property (including vapes) but I always have 1-2 smug people come inside and make a point to smoke it at the register to "prove a point" so I politely tell them they can't do it inside and I always get "BUT its not smoke! Its vapor! You can't tell me I can't do that in here!"....but I can....

Well, I smoked for years and quit cold turkey too. I have noticed with vapes that it takes a lot more to get me mad when drinking to the point where I want to fight. I know anti-freeze elevates the boiling point, so maybe it's better for me in the long run?
