Top 100

Could the huddle have our own top 100 players from last year with no bias. Could we even do this? If so how will ours rank to the nfl players one. It would be fun to try.

I don't want to be the poster everyone makes fun of. I thought it was a good idea and if not. Just say so

Never give the Huddle an opportunity to say what you dont want them to say. That makes it inevitable.

However, it could be a fun exercise but I no longer have the time to follow the entire NFL.  I'd just name our 53 twice minus 6.

I'd go with our full 90 players going into camp plus 10 players from The U on other teams. Nah actually, I guess I'd add 10 players who retired from the Panthers and leave it at that.

You had me until the U, then you had me again after that.

    • Oh yeah the QB is huge in this stuff. Imagine what Smitty could have done with a surgeon back there. And some more offensive minded head coaches. It was always run heavy. He was one of the best I ever saw and people didn’t know who he was outside of Carolina, for the longest time.
    • For sure, any college scout that touted Bryce Young as worth the first overall pick, needs to be gone. I don’t think the college scouts are so much the issue, I think it is the minds of the decision makers that have the most influence.  If this draft produces, and Morgan was really in charge, maybe Tepper will develop some respect and stay back and let people work.
    • I just am not aware of regimens that offer increased velocity which is the biggest weakness I can see in Young (that needs addressing right now). Is it possible to do? Who has done it that we can see as an example? I guess I am saying before I believe weights will give him added zip on the ball, I would want proof that it works.    I think weight room would help him not be pulled down by two fingers, even if they are big strong DL fingers. They are still fingers controlling 185 lbs. So that needs to be addressed but it is a secondary issue behind his footwork and ball velocity. It might help too, in allowing him to retain some velocity while not putting 100% effort into throws. Which should help his ‘deep’ ball.  I agree they can’t fix his footwork on those pistol or gun snaps where he slowly goes backwards and does the tippy toe thing.  Maybe putting him under center and taking the option of that type of drop away from him, forcing him into the classic under center style. Drop and plant and throw. Maybe that would help get around it.
