This is great news on a stall Monday. I'm happy for Cam and this organization. We have a first true franchise QB who is still improving. I am glad this is out of the way before the season starts. Congratulations to Cameron Newton if confirmed for getting his deal!!! Our first true FRANCHISE QB, not a journeyman who hit flash in the pan, not a quitter that we once drafted and tried to build around, not a 50 year old qb who was known more for having a hot wife than QB talent, but a real franchise QB.

 

LOL @ the num num's who thought Cam was going to get an Andy Dalton deal or that he had to "prove it" this year. Those who recognize what he brought to the tablet realized that he is a $100+ million dollar QB, without him we are the Browns, Texans, Bills. This should be a great year for Cam, nothing to prove, money in the bank, let it fly young man!

Yeah, just because we never went to the playoffs with him as the full-time starter doesn't meant he wasn't very, very good. 1999 was our best offensive year ever, that doesn't happen by accident.
