Charles Godfrey

I know he is young and still adapting to the speed and overall style of play in the NFL, but what do you have for expectations for him? A man by the name of Bob Sanders from Iowa (same school as Godfrey) as well under Ron Meeks turned into a monster. Could this be in his future? I see some similarities but still early and tough to tell.

i like godfrey. i think he did fairly well for stepping in and starting as a rookie.

Bob Sanders plays Strong Safety, not Free Safety.

Godfrey is a poor tackling coverage free safety and Bob Sanders is a hard hitting ball hawking strong safety. Apples to horse apples.

yeah seriously godfrey fell apart at the end of last year. he couldn't tackle anyone and was blowing coverage left and right

people who give him nebulous comments like "making strides" and "showing flashes" are just spouting off meaningless rhetoric that can't really be refuted because it's completely without substance. furthermore, it screams "blind homer fanboy who can't criticize a starter."
