So the Hawks get Splitter from the Spurs and resign Millsaps, but Demarre Carroll leaves for Toronto. Interesting.

I recall William Moore not being a fan of PM after the conference finals so I'll be interested to see what he says if he wanders over here.

Greg Monroe to Bucks Max Contract

Had max offers from Portland, New York, Lakers and Bucks and chose the Bucks because he could win.

Welcome to the new NBA.

Also, another big man off the market. Some team is going to get left out in the cold and we have Al Jefferson in this crowded, long-range-shooting front court and it doesn't make sense for us to pay him next year...

We won't pay him next year.  We'll have so much cap room it's going to be ridiculous.  Sadly, we'll be offering these players to play with Kemba Walker and Frank Kaminsky.  SMH.

Both of which are infinitely better options going forward than Al Jefferson.

Also all indications are we don't sell "You get to play with this guy!" We take a page out of the Panthers book and sell "establishing a good culture, chemistry, etc) and it has worked, even if the signings themselves haven't.

Good point.  Spots like LA and places like that are cool.  But with the money these NBA players make, they can take vacations anytime they have a break anyway.

    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
