NFCS 2015 Projections - SI

Recommended Posts

Back in 2013, we were coming off a 7-9 season and 2nd place in the NFC South. We lost 6 close winnable games: Falcons, Cowboys, Seahawks, Bears, Bucs, and Chiefs games.

SI picked us to finish last in the entire NFC.

We end up going 12-4, win the NFC South, and get a #2 seed + first round bye.

SI predictions are a joke.

Behold the enigma that is the Carolina Panthers.

Except we're not really an enigma at all. We went 12-4 in 2013 and had a huge re-build in 2014 due to being in salary cap hell.

No matter how impressive their December rally was, I can’t get past how shoddy a team the Panthers were for most of last season.

This analysis is just lazy and pathetic by Don Banks.

The team that went 1-8-1 had Bell/Silatolu/Velasco/Chandler at O-line, Cason/White/Godfrey/DeCoud in the secondary, and Reaves/Ogbannya/Whittaker at RB.

The team that went 4-0 had 7 new starters (Norman, Benwikere, Boston, Norwell, Turner, Remmers, and Philly Brown) along with Cam, Stew, and CJ getting healthy.

Does Don Banks plus this crap with other NFL teams he has to cover? If so then anyone can write for ESPN. I can look at a record and FA pickups, and then pull something out of my ass. By this standard I don't even have to watch any NFL games. Just poo in a bucket, call it an article, and upload it to the website. Who needs to be informed? Not Don Banks. He's willfully ignorant and out of touch, and he still receives a paycheck. Sweet.
