We have a chance if our run defense can offer some resistance and there's no telling how well the offensive line will fare. If they do well, DeAngelo will dominate and we'll have a shot. I just find myself worrying to God everytime I see Jake drop back to pass nowadays. I believe he has the skills still to get the job done, he just scares the hell out of me.

Dude, being realistic is one thing but damn, there have to be some positives right? If you are a real fan and you really do think we're this bad, you must be miserable. Even when I'm concerned about the way the team's been playing I have to look for positives, and believe we can win, it is the NFL after all, "any given Sunday" and all that. You seem to hate the team, hate the fans, hate the coach, hate the QB. Why waste your time being a fan? Sounds like you're putting yourself through more stress than it's worth.

We will see an entirely different team this game than we have seen in the pre-season. I think we have not shown any schemes on defense so far and have not game planned at all. Panthers win and at the very worst go 2-2 in the first quarter of the season. Can't wait and hope to get there in time for the tailgate.

As far as the game goes.....I agree with Dan (OP)that the loss of Bradley is worrisome (as an Eagles fan). DeAngelo may very well have a field day with the Eagles. The "bend but don't break" thing has worked in the past but I am not sure we have the people to stop it from breaking this year. Here are two teams coming out of the preseason with lots of question marks. All I know is that the Eagles have serious unknowns on the offensive line and being able to stop the run which are not good things to have issues with. I couldn't begin to predict how this game will turn out.

I picked the Panthers to win. Minus that playoff game, they really did prove to hold-serve at home last year. Not that BOA is enough to beat the Eagles, but I think it will be a toss up, and I give a slight edge to the recently successful home team.

I just wish I had DeAngelo in my fantasy league. My only Panthers are Moose (on the bench) and Kasay.
