Yeah, this oughtta go over well...

Study shows Cowboys have the best fans in the NFL

“We focused on using hard data to determine which NFL team had the most avid, engaged, passionate and supportive fans, the website’s Manish Tripathi said. “By hard data we mean data on actual fan behavior. In particular, we are focused on market outcomes like attendance, prices or revenues.

“We use fifteen years of data on NFL team performance, ticket prices, market populations, median incomes, won-loss records and multiple other factors. We create statistical models of box office revenue, and then see which teams over- and under- perform the model’s predictions.”

Florio points out that the methodology leads to a more likely result of "which fanbase is most easily sold to".

I'd say that makes sense, given that Cowboy fans are easily sold on the notion that they're going to win the Super Bowl every season despite the fact that they haven't had much in the way of real playoff success since the early nineties.

Cowbitch fans have nothing on Browns fans...they, like Pittsburgh, couldn't find their team's city on a map to save their lives.

My thoughts exactly. Browns fans are real fans. They know year in and year out that their team will suck, and they still LOVE that damn team. Not like in Tennessee or Jacksonville where they just don't care, Cleveland loves their team.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
