Barnwell on the sinking Saints

I'll never forget those drunk Cajun redneck fools in BOA in 2010 rubbing it in our faces after Jimmy Clausen and Tony Pike combined for less than 100 yards.  Little did they know they were literally setting up a full generation worth of return @$$ beatings by helping give us the #1 pick and Cameron Jerrell Newton.  Thanks Saints.  Enjoy the circle down the toilet bowl.

PS-Loomis is a fugging idiot

Tony Pike is a name I could have went the rest of my life without hearing again.

Good read on the Saints' recent rash of questionable, curious, and/or desperate moves. Reminds me an awful lot of the 2003-2009 Panthers' window closing. Guiltless schadenfreude to the MAX.

Yall gonna sit here and laugh at this poo, then in another thread lose your got damn minds b/c we haven't blew our cap on a poo LT FA.

No, pretty sure I won't. In fact, never have. But even considering myself to be a fairly objective fan of the team and observer of the division, doesn't mean I won't enjoy the Saints' decline.

    • Man, we're desperate around here.  I had to look at Peppers' stats to see if I'm missing something, but no, he's an average guy at best.  Nothing impressive at all in his stats.  He's not a true safety at all, and I'm kind of annoyed with the jack of all trades players at this point.  Of course I see the PFF scores and everything, but I'm old school.  I believe the stats tell more about the player than the analytics.  This ain't moneyball here. (haha)  The best players put up numbers.  And when I look at the numbers, Peppers is just another player running around on the field.
    • People see what they want.  I have also stated since the moment we drafted Bryce….a badly owned team was screwing HIM over by setting him up to fail by coach/scheme design.   Core criticism isn’t actually Bryce…it’s Carolina/front office.  I could see Bryce being good.  I could see Canales being good.  But I don’t see them as a pairing.  Football is about fit.  Board is doing what the board does.  People were idiots who dared question the All Star staff.  People raged when Fitterer was criticized.  They raged when Rhule was criticized.   Until they didn’t.
    • Yeah and to make it weirder Moehrig is a FS, Peppers is a SS.
