Yet we could do nothing with him.

It's no secret that Chip Kelly has the upper hand in special teams (#1 rank) and offense compared to our braindead coaches. Couple that with Barner's familiarity with Chip from his college days and you have a player that breaks out in preseason.

chip cut him once and he passed through waivers aka nobody in the entire league wanted him so he was signed back

Good for Barner, really. Like Mr. Midfield said, he has been rejected multiple times for not being able to cut it by the whole league. The fact that he's killing it now is a testament to him getting his act together, not a knock on the Panthers.

From what I saw, every time he got into a Panthers game he could do nothing with the defense except bounce off defenders and fall down. I was pulling for the guy but he just looked lost. If he figured out what to do when he got the ball I'm happy for him.
