Interesting that Observer doesn't yet have Todman on their list.  I guess they missed that one.  So with Todman, 14 cuts down, 8 to go.

PANTHERS CUTS (updated 11:45 a.m.)

WR Brenton Bersin

WR Mike Brown

TE Marcus Lucas

S Marcus Ball

TE Scott Simonson (a likely candidate for the practice squad)

DT Terry Redden

T David Foucault (a likely candidate for the practice squad)

LB Adarius Glanton (a possible addition to the practice squad if he clears waivers)

LB Brian Blechen

WR Damiere Byrd (another practice squad possibility)

DE Rakim Cox

CB T.J. Heath

DT Chas Alecxih

Redden and Cox could both make the PS.

(and knowing this place, someone's probably gonna do something with the phrase "Redden and Cox")

Jacobs = Trusnik

Maybe Gettlemen is worried about a potential comp pick.

Chandler is the 4th OT, and Silatolu is a backup who can play both sides---Still, I think we shop through the cuts today to find an upgrade or 2.

Silatolu, A. Edwards, J. Clausen, E. Brown, Otah--damn, Hurney.  I seriously would have done better.

OK, I've been looking at the roster.  With news that Ricky Henry has just been cut, by my calculations, there are 8 on the bubble, and only 1 of these 8 will make the roster:

 Brown, CoreyWR5'11185232
 Byndom, CarringtonCB6'0180231
 Folkerts, BrianC6'4310253
 Mayo, DavidLB6'2240220
 McCray, JordanG6'3320231
 Trusnik, JasonLB6'4250319
 Wallace, MartinT6'6330252
 Young, LouCB6'1205231

    • I mean, I think you're being a little hyperbolic with the last statement, but point taken.
    • Pass rush was the biggest issue in tonight’s game, and we were tied for 28th in sacks this season. That is a major area of need that has to get addressed this offseason. I just don’t see a path where there’s a game changing QB you can bring in with where we are drafting and quality of veterans that will be available. We certainly can do better than Dalton as a backup, and should ideally have a developmental guy  (perhaps a day 3 pick this year). We have bryce for one more year on a reasonable contract and then I think 2027 is the year that you reset that position (unless he massively improves).
    • Agreed, honestly basically bringing this group back as a healthy unit would be alright.  Brady Christensen should be resigned to a very reasonable deal with him recovering from the Achilles.  Atleast we're alright at 4 of our 5 spots with Lewis, Mays, Hunt, and Moton, Nijman was decent.  While if we can snag a deal on someone, take a stab, however our resources need to go to Linebacker, Pass Rush and a real option outside Tmac (coker is amazing, but if we can get someone who isnt braindead opposite Tmac, we can fully unleash Coker AND Tmacs full potential, cant move him into the slot if racoon boy is out there licking doorknobs).
