Brees "not sure" if playing, will talk to Payton about it.

This is notable considering Brees went from "Very confident" to now "not sure and having to talk about it." Reading the tea leaves, all indications he will be a no go. Welp, it's time to celebrate our first 3-0 start since 2003!

Enjoy this moment of actually heading into a guaranteed win like this, it doesn't happen much in the NFL.. And if we lose?! Well slap my ass and call me Sally.

even if mccown starts i just can't believe that it's an easy win.  i've just seen this scenario happen too many times.

oh make no mistake, it will be an easy win. Infact I would go so far as to say this W is more of a lock then the Bears/Seahawks game.

This was a team that looked horrible WITH their all pro franchise QB and lost to two below average teams, one loss being at home. Same team we crushed last year WITH Brees playing.. Yea, if we only win by a FG or TD I will be very disappointed

Being over-confident to the point of cockiness, especially when it comes to a division game, is exactly how you get punched in the mouth in the NFL. I can only hope that the team doesn't have anywhere near the attitude you have towards this game.

Arizona is not a below average team.

Like someone else says on here, as fans we have every right to be cocky and overly confident, it's when the players become that way is when you need to start to worry, and I can assure you the players aren't thinking this is going to be an easy win

    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix has only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
    • The Canes physically dominated 2 of the top 16 teams in the league this calendar month. If you truly believe Florida is just that much more physical than us, then what does that say about the rest of the league? Why didn't they go 82-0 this year, if they are orders of magnitude better than every other team?
