About those blocked field goals in Seattle last year...

We all remember when Kam Chancellor jumped over the offensive line twice to block Panther field goals.

Well, turns out there was a reason it was so easy, per David Newton:

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said he has had discussions with the league about the way Seattle players pulled his linemen down on two plays during the January playoff game where Chancellor was able to leap the line on field goal attempts. He believes they got the message.

Strange how this went unnoticed for so long.

The reason it's so bad, aside from the fact that it's holding and it should be 5 yards and an auto first down, is that if they don't hold the guys down kam touches either of those guys at all while jumping over them, it's a 15 yard penalty and an automatic first down.

Interesting.  Let's consult the video.

Jesus Christ Kam owned us in that game... I was pretty damn drunk (and pissed) watching it live and didn't realize just how dominant he was all night even outside the pick 6 and FG jumps.

Mother fuger had the game of his life against us.

That 2nd jump he clearly jumped over before they even touched our line. Even the first one was close with Bennett. What it is, is poor special teams which shows even again this year.

that kind of attitude isn't appreciated here!!!!
