Brockel to IR

Brockel needed to go to IR. Taking up a roster spot for zero production. Could never fully understand the love for this guy with the organization. Besides ST play didn't see much production. Thirteen games since 2013 is a joke. Give the kid a chance.

Me neither, but his special teams value kept him on the roster--we tend to forget about that.

Brockel is a TE/H-back and Lee Ward is a FB exclusively with no TE skills. They don't even play the same position. Stop equating them.

yeah but Wards a young hungry player. That could provide something we need cause let's face it Tolbert ain't a blocking FB  

Brockels just drawing a check taking up a spot. Dudes a wasted roster spot he ain't even good at his supposedly "specialty" which is STs 

And I'd rather  had Simonson over Brockel in the first place.

Interesting,  we usually recycle the same guys on and off the practice squad.  Simonson must be showing something in practice.  Another big target for Cam,  can't hurt.

Now will Simonson actually be active this weekend? My instincts would be no unless they have had him in the gameplan all week and were trying to gain an advantage by not pulling him up until today
