San Diego will file paperwork to move to LA

i dunno why they insist that la gets a nfl team. Haven't they tried and failed 2 or 3 separate occasions? The main reason being that la is fair weather and won't support the team. I get the fact that la is highly populated, but unless you have fan willing to go to games even when the team isn't doing well it won't make a difference. 3 teams in the state and they want a 4th..i say choose one of the 3 and shut the hell up. It's cocky to think, "hey we are la and we deserve a team by default". Doesn't work that way. Gotta know where the stadium will be built, what is the team name, logo, colors, and how to pay for it all. Carolina got the panthers because research, money, and time was taken. Having and keeping a franchise isn't as easy as snapping your fingers.

"Hey, let's move 112 miles north!  That'll fix all our problems." SMH

it will actually fix a ton of the Chargers' problems, mainly being that their stadium is universally regarded as the worst in the NFL. At the very least, this gives them a new, fancy stadium.

I I would say the Raiders eventually move to San Antonio. Davis has already had talks with reps from there.

Not nnecessarily.

The league has admitted that the logistics are a major problem.

There's also been lots of reports this past week about how it can be done, following the new five year agreement with Wembly. It's going to happen, it's just only a matter if we will see it in this decade or not.

A team has to agree to do it, though.

I think the league will find getting a team to play one game over there is a lot easier than getting someone to move there permanently.

I don't care if they do play in St Louis.. they will always be the Los Angeles Rams to me.

Oh, and Tottenham have a deal with the NFL to host multiple games in London once their new stadium is built. The deal encompasses a decade of NFL games played there, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that one team might eventually move there, or an expansion team is based out of London maybe. Not saying it will happen, but it's setting up to be a possibility.

Try getting a team to game plan and prepare for a team in California then have enough time to travel to California then have enough time to get over jet lag. It's just not possible.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
