Explain this to me...Josh Norman yanked

but do you see how it is a very slippery slope?

I mean, what if the game is on the line, your star QB happens to stumble after a hit and they take him out for the last play of the game?

This is the first thing that crossed my mind when it happened. I wonder how that spotter is vetted?

the spotter was wrong but they are paid to err on side of caution by Chip Kelly

After a big hit, Norman sometimes does this headshake/nod thing while he trash talks a bit. After a big hit like that, some guy sitting in the box seats, watching through binoculars probably saw him bouncing his head a bit while walking a bit stiff legged. To an observer looking for the signs, Norman probably looked a bit jangled. And there was no way to know it was a shoulder hit until the replay.

Better safe than sorry and luckily Kelly's fast call offense didn't take the time to adjust the play to exploit Norman's absence.

He got hit in the shoulder. It was clear on the replay

yep he took the hit off the shoulder his head was no where near to getting hit

I do not like this idea of a spotter. Gives more control to the league to fix games. 

"Oh no the team I don't want to win is driving up the field! What do i do? Oh ok let me just call down to the field to have him yanked!"

Chip Kelly RAN the ball while Norman was out.   I would have thrown toward the replacement.  imagine the uproar if the scored a TD on his replacement?

It looked like he fell after the hit but it looked like that was because he was bumped but another player. Was kinda off screen but that what it looked like to me.

Taking a player out before he gets irrevocably injured, that makes no sense at all
