Managing increased expectation: Its a one game season. You play one game at a time. Talking about becoming relevant. Staying focused and keeping that approach. 

Tough to get Thomas Davis off of the field. But we try to cut his reps on purpose. TD doesnt want vet days. 

Shaq is doing well... ran through some drills. Will know Wednesday to see how he reacts to increased load. Then we'll know if he's ready to go.

Ryan Delaire standing on the sidelines and you admit to leaving Allen on the field for too many plays. Didn't the same thing happen last week with Tre Boston/Roman Harper? Sounds like the coaching staff needs to listen to guys with the clipboards a little more to keep track of who needs to take a breather.

I find it interesting that Rivera is admitting to this weakness.  Usually he seems so organized & methodical.  And they do a lot of rotation at various positions, so you'd think they'd have a good system.

That said, I find his concerns about too many snaps for Allen interesting, given that Allen's best play came late in the 4th quarter.  Maybe there was a bit more intentionality than Rivera admits, wanting Allen to really make a difference and play his way into the game in a significant way.  Allen himself said the sacks were huge for helping him feel that he's really part of the team now, that he's shown he can contribute.

I was just about to say that although I understand wanting to keep an old guy like Allen fresh, his last 20 snaps were his most disruptive of the night.

To be honest, Philly's offensive game plan didn't allow them to rotate out players too often.  Unless there was a timeout the Panthers couldn't make substitutions because of their hurry up scheme.

Granted his last 20 snaps were his most effective however ryan delaire would have been more affective than allen thruout the game. I dont think allen has showed anything like ryan has, we need to go with the kid.
