Kawann Short named NFC Defensive Player of the Month

COuld we make it  TD or Luke in november for the trifecta ????? if one of them gets a couple of sacks and an INT then it could definitely happen.

TD's got next month, and then Big Money Heavyweight comes in as the clean up man and gets it in December.

It's shocking too that KK racked up these stats EVEN WITH A BYE WEEK!!!  I hadn't thought about that, but BBR pointed it out.

If only we had someone better then old man harper

Colin Jones/Tre Boston > Roman Harper/Kurt Coleman

Once Rivera figures that out, teams will not be able to pick on Harpers lack of speed in run support, and Coleman's knack for giving up the big play.

Coleman gave up the big run to Ryan Matthews. He was late to react to the run and got caught too deep. He also failed to force Matthews back inside when he is caught out of position and angled incorrectly. His one job in the running game was to get Matthews outside shoulder and force him back into Luke Kuechly. Instead, Coleman gets flat footed with the improper angle and allows Matthews to run around him and get to the outside.

Coleman also allowed the deep pass for a TD against the Seahawks. He had position, but his lack of athleticism at safety found him flat footed when contesting a jump ball.

Teams are finding their success attacking the responsibilities of Harper and Coleman (mainly Coleman). This will cost the Panthers against QBs like Rodgers and Brady. Thankfully, KK has been strong and quick enough to keep from allowing the offense the time necessary  to develop plays that can attack the 3rd level of the defense.
